Teamac Boot-topping is an Attractive Easy clean Marine Boottopping suitable for Yachts and Cruisers.It is used to paint the area of a hull between the waterline and the load line of a vessel. It provides a hard surface that is less receptive to marine growth and polish-able to remove grime. On unpainted surfaces prime with one coat of Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer. This coating is suitable for wood, GRP and metal hulls. This product is available in 2.5lt pack sizes in a range of marine stock colours. Coated Surfaces: Ensure the existing coat is intact, compatible, dry and free from oil grease and other contaminants.

Metachlor Primer Recommended on uncoated surfaces.

Teamac Boot-topping is a high quality, easy clean, scrubbable hard wearing boot-topping paint. It is suitable for GRP, metal and wood surfaces.

Teamac Boot-topping is used as to paint the area of a hull between the waterline and the load line of a vessel. It provides a hard surface that is less receptive to marine growth and polish-able to remove grime.

Before applying this product you should apply at least 1 coat of Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer, if you are applying a subsequent coat then you should only use Boot-topping.

This coating can be applied with a brush, roller or airless spray with an overcoating time of 12 hours to overnight. The recommended wet film thickness is 80 microns to achieve a dry film thickness of 30 to 35 microns. The theoretical coverage rate by following these recommendations is 12 sq.m per litre, please allow appropriate loss factors when calculating your actual requirements. This product will be touch dry within 4 hours at a temperature of 20°C.

Before applying the product all surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from any contaminants.

Surfaces have to be prepared and primed with Teamac Metalclor Antifouling Primer. However, if you are using it on GRP then you can apply the coating directly.

If you are painting existing painted surfaces then you should clean, degrease and sand the surface down to ensure an adequate “key” is produced. Remove all loose, flaking material and treat bare areas as a new substrate then prepare accordingly.
