Jotun Hardtop One is a high performance on component Polysiloxane finish with excellent durability in aggressive industrial and coastal environments.

Jotun Hardtop One is a high solids, high build finish that is easy to apply and air-drying. It is suitable as a refinish topcoat on cranes, bridges, machinery and commercial equipment.

This coating can be applied using an air/airless spray, a brush or a roller with a minimum dry to over coat of 4 hours at a temperature of 23°C. The recommended wet film thickness is 80 – 130 microns to achieve a dry film thickness of 60 – 100 microns. The theoretical coverage rate by following these recommendations is 12 – 7.2 sq.m per litre, if you are using bright colours you may need the highest recommended wet film thickness to achieve opacity. This product will also be touch dry within 3 hours at a temperature of 230°C.

Before applying the product all surfaces should be clean, dry and free from any contamination in order to secure lasting adhesion to the subsequent product.

When preparing new surfaces, maintaining already coated surfaces or aged coatings, it is necessary to remove all contamination that can interfere with coating adhesion, and prepare a sound substrate for the subsequent product.

For a full over coat, this product can only be over coated with itself. The surface of previous coats shall be free from contamination by water, hydrocarbon based products, wax, mud, mortar droppings and loose, chalked and flaking coating.
