Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer is an antifouling primer which contains Zinc Phosphate for added corrosion protection when used on steel. This product can also be used as an underwater primer on suitably prepared steel, GRP and Wood or as a sealer coat over most conventional systems.It can also be applied to aged coatings including Antifoulings. It is normally overcoated with Teamac Antifouling paints or other Teamac topcoats and finishes. The primer is available in 5lt pack sizes in a grey colour with a matt finish for free delivery throughout the UK to your home, workshop or boatyard.

Surface Preparation.
Carbon Steel: Minimum St 2 , Recommended Abrasive Blast Clean to Sa 2.5.
Coated Surfaces: Ensure the existing coat is intact, compatible, dry and free from oil grease and other contaminants.

Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer is a strong, versatile, chlorinated rubber based coating for wood, Metal & GRP.
It contains Zinc Phosphate for added corrosion protection when used on steel. It can be used in conjunction with Teamac Antifouling D Plus, A Plus and Protector II.
Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer is suitable for narrowboats, cruisers, barges, yachts and marine structures. It can also be used as an underwater primer on prepared steel or as a sealer coat over most conventional systems.
It can be applied by either a brush or airless spray with a minimum overcoating time of 8 hours. The recommended wet film thickness is 100 microns to achieve a dry film thickness of 38 microns. The expected theoretical coverage rate following these recommendations is 6.5 sq.m per litre. Please calculate appropriate loss factors when estimating your actual requirements.
If you are applying the product in confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application. It will be touch dry in 3o minutes and hard dry within 6 hours at a temperature of 20°C.
