Selemix Direct Base is a High Performance fast drying Polyurethane for Metal Cladding and UPVC Windows & Doors with excellent adhesion to most surfaces and excellent exterior durability. A Direct to Substrate Primer Finish ideal for Steel, UPVC, Aluminium and Galvanised Steel. It is a unique multisurface paint adhering to most surfaces and can be applied wet on wet for fast high build application. Available in a wide range of colours and gloss levels . It is available to purchase separately as a base colour and 9-070 hardener, mix ratio is 4 parts colour to 1 part hardener. Enabling you to purchase the minimum quantity of colour required for each project and purchase larger quantities of hardener for stock. It is also available as a ready to mix pack including Base & Hardener.

Carbon Steel: Minimum St 2 , Recommended Abrasive Blast Cleaning Sa 2.5.
UPVC: Lightly abrade and ensure the surface is free from oil grease and other contaminants.
Galvanised Steel: It is recommended to lightly abrade leaving a clean, rough dull surface.
Coated Surfaces: Ensure the existing coat is intact, compatible, dry and free from oil grease and other contaminants.

Selemix Direct is a high‑quality All‑in‑One direct to metal paint, formulated with increased adhesion, flexibility and anticorrosion properties. On sound, properly prepared surfaces they can perform comparably to a separate primer and paint system while saving time and reducing waste.
When applied to suitable substrates that are clean, dry and suitably prepared, Selemix Direct to metal paint produces a durable finish that resists mechanical damage, abrasion and fading, giving long term protection in domestic and industrial environments. Two pack polyurethanes like Selemix Direct are recommended in more corrosive coastal environments.
Selemix Direct is an All‑in‑One paint designed as multi‑surface paint, offering strong adhesion and corrosion protection on galvanised steel, metal, wood, UPVC and previously painted surfaces, when the surface is correctly cleaned and lightly sanded. Selemix Direct is particularly suited for kitchen cabinet refurbishments, metal cladding, UPVC windows and doors.
By combining primer and topcoat in a single product, Selemix Direct removes a full application stage, reducing waste and labour time, allowing projects to be completed faster with fewer products to manage. It has fast drying and overcoating properties.
Selemix Direct Base only is available in a wide palette of RAL Classic and British Standard colours, and is available in a range of gloss levels 10% dead matt, 30% matt, 50% semi matt and high gloss 80% to match existing colour schemes across multiple surfaces. These low gloss finishes are particularly suited for metal cladding, kitchen cabinets UPVC windows and doors.

Buying Selemix Direct has the advantage it is available in 1lt packs for small projects or colour sampling. You can purchase the Hardener seperately in 5lt packs and use it as required. Selemix Direct is also available as a two pack kit, 4lts of base colour and 1lt of 9-070 hardener. It is supplied in the correct mix ratio 4 parts base colour to 1 part hardener, to make mixing and application easier. The recommended thinner is 1-480.
