Penguard HB – Marine High Build Epoxy Underwater Primer

Penguard HB a high build fast drying two pack Epoxy Primer for Multi surfaces including Metals and GRP, suitable for use Underwater and Topside. It can be applied to a range of surfaces including steel, aluminium, galvanised steel, concrete, GRP and building plastics. Ideal as a primer on boats, marine infrastructure, GRP building products and industrial fabrications.

A high molecular weight epoxy with excellent durability, water and corrosion resistance. It is certified for use with potable water and certified not to spread surface flames. Overcoat with Hardtop Polyurethanes in exposed environments for long term colour and protection. Below the waterline overcoat with Vinyguard Silvergrey 88 as a tiecoat prior to applying antifouling.

Carbon Steel: Minimum St 2 , Recommended Abrasive blast clean to Sa 2.5. (ISO 8501-1)
