Penguard Express – High Build Epoxy Primer Build Coat

Penguard Express a two pack fast drying high solids high build epoxy primer intermediate. It is specially designed for new construction where short dry to handle and overcoating times are required. It can be used as a primer and intermediate coat on steel, concrete, aluminium and galvanised steel. Recommended for offshore locations, bridges, buildings and mining equipment. It is prequalified for use in Norsok M-501 Rev 5, system 1 and is fire certified for use as an anticorrosion primer for Intumescent Steelmaster systems. Cures at low temperature.

Application Guide

Carbon Steel: Abrasive blast clean to Sa 2.5. (ISO 8501-1)

Galvanised Steel: As a minimum the surface shall be clean dry and have a rough dull profile. It is recommended to lightly sweep blast using non metallic abrasives leaving a clean, rough dull surface.

Coated Surfaces: Ensure the existing coat is intact, compatible, dry and free from oil grease and other contaminants.

Apply one full coat by airless spray 75-250 microns
