Demidekk exterior woodcare is based on advanced Alkyd Modified Acrylic (AMA) technology developed in Norway and manufactured by AVACE in the UK, providing up to 12 years’ protection against moisture, UV degradation and harsh weather when applied correctly.
Traditional stains and oils usually need frequent re‑application because they quickly lose colour and protection, whereas Demidekk Terrasslasyr penetrates the wood to increase water resistance and highlight the grain, forming a durable, flexible film that resists impact, abrasion and UV damage, keeping timber protected and looking good for upto 3 years.
Demidekk Cleantech is recommended for luxury log cabins, garden rooms, cladding, decking, fencing and exterior furniture, giving you one high‑performance system that can protect almost all exterior timber around your home and garden. It replaced Demidekk Ultimate, with enhanced durability and easy clean properties.
Demidekk Cleantech and Demidekk Ultimate are fully compatible AMA‑based systems, so Cleantech can be applied over sound Demidekk Ultimate; it can also be used over existing stained or painted wood that has been properly cleaned and prepared.
Exterior windows and doors required abrasion resistant paints to provide long term protection from mechanical damage. Demidekk Infinity is ideal for exterior windows and doors, it is rain resistant in 1 hour and has enhanced mechanical and abrasion resistance.
For new, bare or exposed exterior timber Avace recommends Jotun VISIR clear which penetrates the surface, providing additional water repellency and creates the ideal base for Demidekk exterior woodcare topcoats.
Demidekk Cleantech and Demidekk Infinity are water‑based, quick‑drying exterior wood paints with rich consistency, designed for easy application by brush, roller or spray, so competent DIY users can get smooth, long‑lasting results with straightforward surface preparation and application.
When applied over a suitable VISIR primer or sound existing coating, Demidekk Cleantech can protect cladding, fencing and garden rooms for up to 12 years, significantly extending maintenance intervals compared with many conventional exterior stains and paints.
Using Demidekk Terrassfix to clean and revive weathered decking, followed by Demidekk Terrasslasyr terrace glaze, you can remove old oils and contamination, then re‑colour and protect the decking boards with a durable, water‑resistant finish which will last for up to 3 years.
